Where it all began
In 2023, d-teach online school, Belgium’s first online school and a European good practice in digital education, was selected by the European Commission to join the accelerator process of the Digital Education Hub.
Within this context, the idea for ICONS was born: a global community of online schools sharing expertise, values, and a commitment to quality and inclusion.
Rooted in d-teach’s belief that education should have no borders, ICONS grew from the vision that collaboration between schools can make online learning more accessible, personalised and future-oriented.
